Welcome to my first photoshop tutorial. In this guide, you will learn how to create a nice twirled image fast and easy.

Step 1:

First let’s create a new document, let’s say 500x500 with white background.

By the time you get your document, press D to reset all your colors.

Step 2:

Go Filter > Render > Clouds and again Filter > Render > Different Clouds

You should have something like this:

Step 3:

Now we have to go to Filter > Distort > Twirl and use the following options

Now choose our layer and duplicate it. Then go to Edit > Transform > Rotate 180. You should have something like this:

Step 3:

On this layer that you are working now, change it’s blending to Color. Then go to Hue/Saturation Panel (Ctrl+U) and use the following options

Step 4:

Now you have a really nice twirl, but it you really want to make it look cool, continue to our next step….

Dupilcate our last layer and name it blue. Then press again Ctrl+U to go to Hue/Saturation settings and use the following options again.

Then use your eraser, to erase some parts of the blue twirl, from wherever you like, I chose the middle

Try this with different colors, as many times as you like, and you will see.
